Crosstalk Defined

Crosstalk on telephone wires is noise emanating from the signals transmitted on adjacent wire pairs caused by electric or magnetic fields of one telecommunication signal affecting the signal in an adjacent circuit. Crosstalk in wireless network applications occurs when the radio signals from access points overlap and interfere with one another thus reducing performance.
